Jet boat to Andrews Creek, a clear freshwater creek, and watch the spawning salmon. Navigate slowly through a maze of topaz blue icebergs to Chief Shakes Glacier and view the solid granite cliffs thousands of feet high. The Stikine River is prime habitat for many species of Alaskan wildlife including moose, bear, eagles, wolves & deer.
Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final. Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center. Stikine River is an international river over 350 miles long. It is fed by over 100 glaciers and is one of the most ecologically diverse rivers in North America. The river's delta has the largest springtime concentration of Bald Eagles in the world. The tour crosses the Stikine River Delta and your guide will work his way up the river via back-sloughs and waterways. This is a spectacular mountainous area with waterfalls and lush rainforest vegetation. You will tour tributaries to the Stikine River where salmon will be gathered in large Schools to spawn (July and August). You will see Eagle nests and depending on time of year, large numbers of Bald Eagles. Our Guides have extensive knowledge of the area as well as knowledge of the local flora and fauna. All guides have Emergency Trauma Technician (or higher) medical certification. All guides are licensed, certified by the US Coast Guard and all of our operations are fully insured. This is an all day tour, and you will want to bring a lunch. Sack lunches can easily be purchased from any restaurant or deli in town. Complimentary sodas and bottled waterare provided. 6 Hour, professionally guided tour includes: local, native & gold rush history, transfers, and complimentary beverages
